To edit or view the Patients personal information and identifiers, open the Edit tab
This information in turn is subdivided into Default, Personal, Address, Identification and Publication preferences tabs
Anonymous PatientsWhere labs receive human or animal samples anonymously, or with Client Patient ID only, the Patient creation form is shortened to the essential only: Known PatientsWhere more personal identification is kept on record, disable the Anonymous check box
The system assigns a unique sequential Patient ID (PID) to new Patient records. The format of the ID is configurable, P14-0001+ are used for 2014 patients in the examples referenced here Beyond the PID and Client's (CPID), Patients can also be identified by additional means such as Social Security Numbers etc. Select the patient's date of birth in a date picker The system will automatically update the patient's age and keep it up to date. The user can also specify whether the DOB was estimated if the true date is not available Patient Country and StateFor epidemiological purposes, the patient's country and state is prominently captured Patient addressesFull details may be kept for recurring patients |
