You may wish to proceed directly to AR creation for Anonymous Patients, if no Case information needs to be captured
Overview
Senaite Health normally gives prominence, both in data capturing, page and list views, results reports, to the LIMS and lab's internal Patient ID, typically P14-0001
The Lab also might want to consider to offer clients the option of having the Client Patient ID included on results email subject lines. It'll be more meaningful to them than the lab's Analysis Request ID
The system offers a number of fields to clients to set their own subject line preferences with, please see Client Preferences
Note that in all of these considerations, at all times the Patient Privacy rules configured for the installation appliese.g. Analysts don't ever see the Client Patient ID
When creating a Patient whose identity is known, fields to capture that data are freely available, in this example on the patient creation pop-up on a new case

For an anonymous patient, these fields are removed
Creating Cases for Anonymous Patients
On the patient creation pop-up for new cases, enable

It might still be necessary to capture secondary identifier types like social security numbers (above) and case data anonymously, this functionality is maintained. If that is not necessary for patients in your LIMS, the above too can be skipped by starting out directly at AR creation for Anonymous Patients
In all instances you'll be required to specify the client or referring institution where the patient originates from. In the Bika health customisation used here the referring institution's patient ID is a compulsory requirement too

As well as the referring doctor

Case attributes for anonymous use
All other case attributes remain available for anonymous use:

When the anonymous patient is saved, the system concatenates the referring institution/client patient ID with the abbreviation AP (anonymous patient) for the patients name to make them easier to identify in lists

From the Patient list
The exact same functionality is used when the patient is created from the patient lists available throughout the system

Enabling 'Anonymous' removes personal information for the patient
