Creating a Sample Batch
Note that Batches do not have to be Client specific. Especially in research labs, Samples can be from many sources. For the same purpose, Samples can belong to many Batches
New Batch
Batches can be created on global level or in a Client folder. Experimental Batches may contain samples from more than one Client. Navigate to the the Batch list and click [+ Add]
The Batch's Sample registration page opens. If the Batch was created in a Client folder, that field is auto completed in the background
Complete the Batch header attributes. Give it a meaningful title and complete the Client Batch ID field if the Client has aname or ID for it
Batch date defaults to today's
The COA remarks can be completed later as it is the information that will be used in certain Batch reports at Publication only, normally to describe the outcom of the testing in Batch Context
Batch Labels are used for rough classification of Batches in lists and eventually searches
Adding Samples to the Batch
You may also add new Samples to an existing Batch. More Samples can be added over time.
Big batches can be uploaded from spreadsheets
