Sample Disposal

When the lab disposes of Sample residues, following procedure, Samples can be transitioned to Disposed in the LIMS too. No Samples in the LIMS are ever deleted

Samples can only be Disposed in Published and Rejected state. To Dispose of Samples in other states, Reject them first

Dispose Samples form lists after selecting them and clicking [Dispose]

Note that in older versions, the term Dispatch is still used

Or from the Sample's state drop-down menu

The user lands on a form where they can provide comments. Push the [Dispose] button

The Sample can now be filtered in lists on the Disposed state

Opening the Sample displays a message telling the user that the Sample was Disposed, and the comment captured earlier

The Dispose transition is captured an timestamped with the user's name in the Sample's audit log
