Log an issue
The Create screen
There are two ways to easily navigate to the issue creation screen, from the [Create] button
And from the board
Fields
The the issue create form has a number of fields on it that re not really necessary for issue reporting. If you are going to use the tracker regularly, configure the screen for your personal use. Compulsory fields are indicated as such
Project
Select the Project for which you want to log the issue, normally LIMS, but there could be other too, say Cannabis or Health care
Issue type
- Bug report - LIMS not performing to specification
- Improvement Request - Modifications to existing features
- Feature Request - New function
- Task - Performing operational tasks, e.g testing
- Support - How to questions etc.
Summary
This is the issue's title that is shown in lists - please make it as meaningful as possible to make them easier to find and understood
Description
Please apply the convention outlined here. What were you trying to do, what did you expect, what happened. Copy all error messages. Provide the address/URL of the page where it happened
Assignee
The technician who has to tend to the task, not compulsory and normally completed by managers
Priority
Do not start an issue as critical unless it really is. That also leave space to escalate the issue later
Attachment
Upload any screenshots or other example files a attachments
Click [Save]
